Excavators set up for car dismantling
Car dismantler excavators are 13 to 25 tonne machines fitted for vehicle recycling: a dismantling grab such as the Powerhand VRS, hydraulic hold down legs, cab protection, extra hydraulic circuits and LED working lights. We fit and trade these on Liebherr, Caterpillar and Volvo carriers, and supply them to dismantlers across Europe.
The listing describes the carrier as it is, together with what we know about the grab, rotator and hold down legs. On request our workshop tests them under load, repairs what is needed and, because we fit these setups ourselves, can also convert a standard excavator to your specification. Transport is by low loader within Europe or via a seaport for customers further away.
Which excavator size is best for car dismantling?
The 15 to 22 tonne class is the most common: heavy enough to handle vans, compact enough for a yard.
Can you fit a dismantling grab to my own excavator?
Yes. We install grabs, hydraulic circuits and cab protection on customer machines in our workshop in Wommels.
