Used tracked excavators for car dismantling businesses, from Caterpillar, Liebherr, Komatsu and Hitachi. Various models and configurations, all fitted with a Powerhand grapple for efficient, precise handling.
Long reach excavators for dredging and slope work
Long reach excavators have an extended boom and stick with a working range of 13 to 22 metres, used for dredging ditches and canals, shaping embankments, clearing water courses and deep excavation. The carriers are 20 to 50 tonne crawler excavators from Caterpillar, Volvo, Liebherr and Hitachi, often with a wider undercarriage and extra counterweight for stability.
On a long reach machine the boom and stick, the pins, the cylinders and the hydraulic pressure deserve attention, so the listing tells you what we know about them. Should something need repairing first, our own workshop can do it before delivery, in consultation with you. Long reach fronts are removed for transport and shipped alongside the carrier. We arrange the low loader, the sea freight and the export documents.
Can the long reach front be swapped for a standard boom?
On many machines yes. Some come with both fronts, others can be converted by our workshop.
How much reach do I need for ditch maintenance?
For most ditches and small canals 15 to 18 metres is enough. Wider water courses need 20 metres or more.
