Demolition excavators with high reach or standard boom
Demolition excavators are standard crawler excavators prepared for demolition work: a high reach boom of 20 to 30 metres or a heavy standard boom, cab and belly guards, extra hydraulic circuits for shears, crushers and hammers, and often a hydraulically adjustable undercarriage. We trade machines from Caterpillar, Volvo, Liebherr and Hitachi in the 30 to 70 tonne class.
The hydraulic lines, the boom pins and the guarding take a beating on a demolition site, so the listing tells you what we know about them and about the boom change over system where fitted. Should something need repairing first, our own workshop can do it before delivery, in consultation with you. Because of their size these machines are shipped in parts; we dismantle, load and reassemble on request and prepare the export documents.
What reach do I need for demolishing buildings?
Up to four floors a 20 to 23 metre boom is enough. For higher buildings you need 28 metres or more, or a machine with a modular boom.
Can I use a demolition excavator for normal digging?
Yes, if it has a change over kit with a standard boom. Several of our machines come with both booms.
